Recap from Sunday! These two, @simonjtejano and @dj_thejuiceman_ really put out an awesome effort.
Simon came back from AO3 and went right to work. His efforts landed him a comp PR and a solid performance overall. He showed true guts and laid everything on the line. We talked afterwards and he’s even more hungry to take some much needed time to a) do some local meets to gain experience and b) do some strength work and bring those legs up! If these past few months are any indication of how hard he’s going to work in the upcoming year, then I have no doubt we are going to see some@massive PRs outta this guy!
For D Juan it was his first meet ever and he was able to put up a PR clean and jerk to qualify for University Nationals. He’s starting to realize the finer aspects of the sport. He’s a fierce competitor and a hell of an athlete. With less than a year of lifting under his belt, he shows great potential. We are still going to drill the basics, keep strengthening his knee and get him more practice in the platform. Watch out for D Juan later this year!
The first two of our team have competed this year, but we have a whole slew of other team members who have been patiently building their base over the holidays. The whole team is starting to transition from a very general strength cycle to more of the Olympic lifts. We have our competition schedule planned out and I’m excited to see where everyone goes!
If you’re interested in joining our online team just DM us for details!! We work with a wide range of ages and experience levels!!
